How I Got Started with QooBee Agapi
My name is Lu Peng. In 2004 I got this idea of a little cupid in the form of a dinosaur. His mission is to spread love to every corner of the world. So did my journey of endless sleepless nights of drawing and animating started with little QooBee.
It was very tough in the beginning. My drawing skill was not so good hence many drawings ended up in the trash. HAHAHA… Here are some of them. I don’t know how best I can describe him in these drawings, Speechless…
Many Years of Hard Work Later
After many years of hard work, QOOBEE’s design evolved slowly into the one you are looking at today.
Here are some of my very early creations back in 2011. I still remember I got the inspiration for the “Give Flower Emoticon” from a Disney film called Bambi.
The First QooBee Plush Toy
Then 4 years went by and after many good and bad experiences during my creative journey, in 2015 the first QooBee plushy was born. Thank you, William!
QooBee Animated Stickers Got Popular
Shortly after the official QOOBEE stuffed toy was released. QooBee stickers went onto LINE chat app and in 2018 onto Facebook Messenger. And the rest is history
The Latest QooBee Plushy
However, this plushy is out of production since 2017 and they are replaced by the new QooBee stuffed toy of 2019.
The Making of QooBee Plush Toy
Its a very tough process dealing with manufactures and handling design at the same time. We had done numerous revisions to the prototype until one of the factory staff refused to work on this project anymore .
We even made a Qoobee Stuffed Toy with a different coloured textile, because the factory could not find the exact colour for that material.
But in the end all hard work paid off. And what you see below is cutest QOOBEE stuffed toy yet!
